College football fans are crazy.

Honestly, I could probably simply say that and post the picture this article is about and leave it at that. But I suppose I’ll provide a bit more context.

New Mexico hosted FCS foe Montana State for a Week 0 game on Saturday afternoon, and the Lobos took a 17-0 lead at one point despite being underdogs in this game.

However, the Bobcats didn’t go away. They kept clawing away (pun intended) at the deficit and ultimately came all the way back to earn a 35-31 victory.

After the game-winning TD, the extra point was tacked on by the Montana State kicker. Following the kick, a fan appearing to moon the camera and New Mexico players was caught by the television broadcast. You can see the (slightly NSFW, I guess) image below:

Now if you’ll allow me to break down this image a bit, there are a couple of questions that need to be asked. The fan’s arms are above his head. Was this an intentional moon job? Or was this a simple failure of his waistband?

These are the questions we need sideline reporters to dig into. Otherwise, we may never know if this was an intentional act or just a simple accident.

Oh, and also congratulations to Montana State for winning the game.
