The coaching carousel is spinning earlier than normal in 2022.

Starting things off was Nebraska’s firing of Scott Frost in early September, followed more recently by Herm Edwards at Arizona State and Geoff Collins at Georgia Tech.

On Sunday, another P5 coach was relieved of his duties, as Colorado coach Karl Dorrell has been fired, per reports.

The move was one that had been rumored for the last few weeks.

The Buffs are off to an 0-5 start and were blown out by Arizona on Saturday, 43-20.

Dorrell was in his 3rd season in Boulder. His overall record at the school was just 8-15.

He previously coached at UCLA from 2003-07, compiling a 35-27 overall mark.

Colorado is off this coming week but plays host to California on Oct. 15.
