I pretty much said this in another post but it's nice to see all the SEC teams that had trouble in the bowl games last year get redemption. I usually don't have nice things to say about ole Miss, but I must admit I found myself smiling throughout the game as they obliterated Oklahoma state. It honestly felt good. I hope bama kills Clemson, just so this ridiculous SEC hate will prove to be even more groundless. I don't get so worked up about football and conference pride and whatnot, after all it's just a game. But after hearing the SEC bashing all year, I'm just dumbfounded as to how people can't see (or probably more accurately refuse to admit) that it's without a doubt the best conference. Where is all that "down year for the SEC" talk right now? I'm sure Danny kanell isn't sleeping well at the moment.
I don't understand.. He didn't say they were going to win a national championship or anything (although.. That honestly may not be too far fetched next season). He simply said they are good, perhaps better than they're record suggests and that they should be better next year. Everything he said sounds completely realistic to me... I hate Tennessee but i can admit Tennessee was honestly a very good team this year. That's all. What's with the refusal to acknowledge that?

SEC isn't relevant?? I guess leading in bowl wins equals irrelevance.. Mississippi state blew out ncstate, ole Miss destroyed Oklahoma state, Tennessee trounced northwestern, LSU easily handled Texas tech.. And then there's Alabama. If you want to argue for a down year perhaps.. Sure go ahead. But we can at least be realistic here. The SEC is more than relevant. And not to belabor the point but... Your team lost to Alabama's "gimmie"
