What a terrible disgraceful article. First, the whole 4 year premise is ridiculous, the author doesn't know about Arkansas football. 1. Nutt was a good motivator, recruiter, and okay coach. 2. Petrino was an innovator, okay recruiter (handful of players), and good coach. 3. Completely different system so it took 2 horrible years to become better with a mix of Nutt's and Petrino's players. Luckily Nutt didn't leave a mess. 4. Smith was an idiot who finish wrecking the program thanks to Petrino's antics. 5. Petrino and Smith left a mess. 6. Bielema is rebuilding, so he gets a couple of bad years just like Petrino did. But he was left nothing. 2017 needs to be an 8 win or better year though. 4 years of mediocrity is enough. Second, who "luvs his personality" #lol #omg ? What a poor journalistic style to base an article on a mancrush! 1. Bielema is a fatass who always looks like a moron on the sidelines. 2. His wife is an airhead who is obsessed with twitter. 3. In spite of this, people like his wife because she looks like a country singer which is big in Arkansas. 4. If it wasn't for him taking the blame at press conferences, I don't know what is likeable about him. (Petrino was never at fault and Nutt always had an excuse). Third, the ONLY REASON he is not on the hot seat is his buyout. Jeff Long completely screwed this up ... or set this up so he wouldn't have to make another coaching hire. Fourth, the Arkansas BOT are only worried about expanding the campus and making money off the renovated stadium. They could care less about football championships. 8 wins is all they want which is why fans hate them. Fans want championships. Fifth, it is impossible to recruit to Arkansas like LSU or Alabama because of geographic location. Fayetteville is 10 times better than most SEC towns BUT impossibly far away. The ONLY way to compete is to have a good year of Arkansas football graduates (Nutt and Petrino took advantage of this) and a few position players (Petrino and Bielema have done better here). To the author, please stop writing about Arkansas.
