Corral lost his starting job in 2019 because he lacked rapid decision making skills. He should do better this year, but his improvisation and analysis skills will not likely match Plumlee's. However, Ole Miss MUST prove it can pass if it wants to attract skilled receivers in the future. Plumlee's passing should have improved greatly this year through better coaching and personal efforts. Plumlee will eventually take over as QB if his passing is anywhere near that of Corral. He would also excel in the red zone. Corral may now be as fast as Plumlee, but variable speed, vision and quickness is far more relevant to rushing success. Before inserting Plumlee in a position other than QB, coaches should review how Stanford used Christian McCaffrey.
