TJW13 and DSGB11 you guys are right, my bad. I would have sworn it was Daniels that played that game.
I think back to the 2010 win in Athens and reflect on one thing, the most beautiful pass Ryan Mallet threw all year in a play action pass that went for a TD. Not going to lie, with GA’s game plan going to be focused on the run to start, if I’m Briles, that may be the first play I run to try and set the tone early. Man, I can’t wait for this game, it’s goi g to be a great one! WPS!
smsatUGA look, I’m not saying Arkansas will win, I’m not going to be as overly surprised if they do, though, as I would a couple weeks ago. That being said, JT Daniles is who turned the game around for you last year. It’s where he moved to QB1 with his performance against Arkansas late into the 2nd quarter and then in the second half. It was a huge momentum swing when he game in for the Dawgs. Barry Odom has a much more experienced defense this year and will be gameplaing specifically. This game will much different than last year as the depth is a little closer between the teams. 18.5 points, I’ll take those numbers every day to cover.
You haven’t looked at Arkansas’s schedule then. Their out-of-conference games are weak (Portland St., Colorado St., San Jose St., and Western Kentucky) and they played extremely well against some teams in the SEC last year, but feel just short. It’s a stretch to think they beat Ol’ Miss and A&M next year as they will be much improved over this year. Both of those games were one score games. They may just barely make it, but don’t be shocked if they do.
You had to know that some of BB's recruits would recommit. This is best for both sides. The kid can play in a system that is more suited to his abilities and the Hogs can extend that offer to someone else that would fit better for Coach Morris. Best wishes, Joseph.
I may be overly optimistic, but if we can continue to improve week to week like we have over the last few, I don't think a bowl game is completely out of the question. I think the Bama game will be the measuring stick to figure that one out. If we look solid, I think we got a chance. I think Coach Morris gets his first win against Ol' Miss and only lose again to Bama and LSU. Maybe I'm dreaming big, but these last couple of weeks have been really good for them. We just have to improve each week.
I thought they looked real good, too. Minus that opening kickoff, they played really well. The improvements have been huge over the first few weeks. I fully expect to lose to Bama, I think we'd be fools to believe otherwise. I do, however, have a heavy dose of optimism that we will keep them from scoring more than 35 points. If we can get the offense more consistent, the coming years could be very, very good for them Hogs. #WPS
As Youcantlosethemall mentioned, it's not. Arkansas leads the overall series by 10 games still. This will be the last one y'all win for a while. If Arkansas improves as much as they have over the course of 4 weeks, y'all have no chance next year. You will slip off to irrelevancy more and more each season. Good waste of money on hiring Jimbo. Should have kept Sumlin.
I can't wait to embarrass Missouri later this year. I was skeptical the last couple of weeks, but as we continue to get better, there is now doubt y'all will only slightly more embarrassing than Tennessee.
I wonder if some how, some way, Arkansas was able to pull off the upset against Bama if it would be considered a bigger upset than the likes of Application St. beating Michigan. No, I'm not saying they will. As much of a homer as I want to be, I'm not that naive to believe it will happen. But, wow, imagine how crazy things would get if that did indeed happen. My guess, Bama 38 Arkansas 3.
I would be ok with him coming to Arkansas. I have been less than impressed with Kelly and Storey has been OK at best. We keep showing improvement each week, a decent QB could mean tons for us.
I think we will be fine. I think we may even pick up a couple of games this year that are being overlooked and finish with around 4 wins. With the time to improve and the chance to mesh, games like Vandy, maybe Ol' Miss and Missouri, can be taken. We showed against Auburn that we can play already with them, we just need to finish drives and fix the special teams.
People keep bashing on Chad Morris, and yes there is some room for criticism as some of the play calling has been questionable, but yall keep over looking the very real issue here, hardly any of the players starting on offence are his recruits. Almost all of the starting 11 were recruited by Bielema who had a very different offensive scheme than Morris does. These players were not recruited to run a spread offense. Yes, things are rough right now. Just, give it time. Things don't get as bad as they did last year and magically turn around in one season. Give Coach Morris and his staff a chance to establish themselves and go from there.
