This has nothing, I repeat nothing, to do with athletics. Manning is recognizing a professor who meant a lot to him, and countless other students at the College of Communication and Information. It's hard to believe, but not everything at a university is about football.
I took Dr. Haas' organizational communications course in college, and it was one of my favorite classes. I've used it every day in my career since graduating. Perhaps, don't be a jackass and show your ignorance of actual academics? I'm glad that Manning is recognizing a fantastic professor at CCI. Imbicilic comments like yours accomplish nothing.
Ummm... destroying public records is a crime. He's a state employee and bound by open record laws. Deleting text messages could be a criminal offense. If a state rep, senator or the governor did this, it would be obstruction of justice. Then there's the issue of sending an employee to rehab without telling anyone. The possible NCAA violation and the fact that he never had any written reprimands of Smith despite being told to fire him. Nothing worth firing over...
There's a definite difference between SEC fans and...other conferences. It demonstrates the values and manners that Southerners still follow that have disappeared from other areas of the country. Are there jerks in every fan base? Absolutely. However, I've found that out of every 10 OSU fans, 9 will be absolute jerks and likely to cuss you out, doxx you or make threats against you. One guy tried doxxing me and ended up suspended on Twitter. What prompted his outrage? I pushed back on the idea that I had some personal animus towards Urban Meyer. They genuinely seem incapable of understanding that many of us are truly disgusted by domestic abuse and concerned about the appearance of a cover-up or willfully ignoring it. I used to think Raiders fans were the worst. Then I discovered Ohio State fans. It's to the point that I never even want to have a layover in the blasted state. Their fans are that awful.
They think they are helping, but they just became the front-runners for the trashiest family in America. These women are publicly attacking the mother of their grandchildren. Family drama is bad enough when it's limited to Thanksgiving. These women just elevated it to a national media story. For all the ribbing that SEC teams give each other, I don't think Bama or Gator fans would act this poorly. Ohio State makes Raider fans look classy.
This is where Michigan State has had issues. Everyone there appears to have tunnel vision and are more concerned with protecting the school and making it go away.
Has the name of the retained law firm been released? Rachel Denhollander has spent quite a bit of time explaining what a good investigative team looks like and how this type of review is conducted in her posts about Michigan State and Evangelical churches. The type of firm retained is critical. Do they have connections to Ohio State? Are partners there prominent alumni or boosters? Do they have a track record in running this type of investigation? Just because they are a law firm, they might not have the expertise needed to adequately and fairly look into the matter. This information does not seem to have been shared publicly.
Oh, burn. Maybe next time you can use correct punctuation. How can 15 words qualify as "rambling"? Re-read your own comment for the definition of "incoherent" and "rambling." I hope you are a fan and not a product of the University of Florida.
Thank you. That's quite a compliment coming from a Gator fan.
I believe Deliverance took place in Georgia. Be careful about glass houses.
Can we stop the hourly coverage of The Rock? Newsflash: it's open to any student with spray paint. It's not the Oracle of Knoxville. When you have 22,000 students enrolled, The Rock will change at least once a day. When I lived in Andy Holt and passed it's old location, there would be one message in the morning and a new one in the afternoon. Please stop.
Real headline: Gator fans would happily accept coach linked to worst child molestation scandal in sports history.
