New Florida head coach Billy Napier will be bringing 2 of his assistants from Louisiana with him to Gainesville.

FootballScoop.com reported Sunday that Patrick Toney would be joining the Gators staff as a defensive assistant and that Jabbar Juluke would be added on the offensive side of the ball.

Toney had been the Ragin’ Cajuns defensive coordinator the past 2 seasons and is expected to fill the same role at Florida or share it with another assistant.

Juluke, meanwhile, was the assistant head coach and running backs coach at Louisiana. In 2019, he was named the top running backs coach in the country by his peers.

Napier will be replacing Dan Mullen as Florida’s next head coach.

He compiled a 40-12 record in 4 seasons at Louisiana, including a 12-1 mark and a Sun Belt Championship this season.
