Florida loses experienced kicker to NCAA transfer portal

Florida is preparing to enter the Billy Napier era in Gainesville, and the new head football coach is finalizing his first Gators roster.
On Monday, though, Napier and the Gators lost an experienced kicker to the NCAA transfer portal.
As you can see below, kicker Chris Howard, who led the Gators in extra points and field goals in 2021, took to Twitter to reveal he was exploring his transfer options ahead of the 2022 campaign:

Howard went 7-for-9 on his field goals in 2021 and was 31-for-32 on extra points. In his career in Gainesville, he made 9 of his 11 field goal tries and 42 of 43 extra points.
Now, he’s on the hunt for a new school as the spring practice season has drawn to a close.
