Florida QB Feleipe Franks shoulders the blame for disappointing loss to Texas A&M

For the second week in a row, the Florida Gators lost in disappointing fashion at home.
This time, it was the Texas A&M Aggies who came into The Swamp and left with a narrow 19-17 victory.
Following the loss, redshirt freshman QB Feleipe Franks took the blame squarely on his shoulders. Though he made a few big plays, the Florida offense was stagnant far too often and Franks said that needs to change (via 247Sports):
“Ultimately it’s my job to get the offense moving,” Franks said. “There’s some series here and there where you want that to happen but I didn’t make that happen. Ultimately it’s on me and something to improve on.”
Franks complimented his teammates, saying they did well and adding that he needs to do a better job keeping the chains moving:
“Convert on third downs, obviously we want the percentage a little higher than it was tonight,” Franks said. “The line did a good job. The receivers did a good job of getting open. Ultimately, like I said, it just falls on me. As the quarterback I’ve just got to do a better job.”
The Gators have a bye next weekend, but an Oct. 28 showdown against No. 4 Georgia looms large in Jacksonville the following week.
Things could get a lot worse before they get better for the Gators, and it’ll be interesting to see if Franks can keep his job through all the turmoil.
