Florida running back Montrell Johnson has given the Gators a late lead over Ole Miss in The Swamp.

After DJ Lagway led the Gators down the field, Johnson found the end zone on a direct snap with 7:20 left in the game, putting Florida up 24-17 on the Rebels.

Here’s a replay of the TD:

Johnson has missed some time due to injury this season, but this was his 5th rushing touchdown of the season.

A win would mean Florida is officially bowl-eligible this season. This would mark UF’s second consecutive home upset. Last week, the Gators crushed LSU at home to get to 5-5 on the season.

This is a must-win game for Ole Miss if it wants to remain in contention for a College Football Playoff berth. The Rebels have made numerous mistakes in this game, particularly in short-yardage situation. Drops, penalties and other issues have led to Ole Miss falling behind of this do-or-die contest in Gainesville.

Ole Miss has not defeated Florida since 2008.
