Florida may not be playing this weekend, but that won’t stop the team from announcing some exciting news.
Billy Napier awarded two walk-on players scholarships Friday. Taylor Spierto and Keenan Landry are now officially on scholarship with the Gators.
“We’re fortunate this year that we have two scholarships that we can give away and we have two players that we feel as a team and an organization should get scholarships,” said Napier. “I’m gonna say both their names and I want y’all to celebrate with each of these guys. This is special. Taylor Spierto and Keenan Landy!”

As per tradition, their Florida teammates surrounded them instantly with deafening cheers.
Spierto has been with Florida football since 2021. He has played in seven games this season and had a career-high ten yards receiving against Vanderbilt.
Landry came to Gainesville from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He made his 2023 debut against McNeese on Sept. 9 and has been with the team since last year.
