Former Florida TE Moral Stephens is getting another NFL opportunity.
The undrafted free agent landed as a tryout player with the Buffalo Bills earlier this year, but was cut by the team in June. Now Stephens has been signed by the Denver Broncos.
The team announced the signing this weekend. It appears the former Gators tight end will have his work cut out for him trying to stand out at a crowded position. The Broncos already have Jeff Heuerman, Noah Fant, Jake Butt, Troy Fumagalli, Austin Fort and Bug Howard at the position. Per the team’s official site, Howard is out for “a couple of weeks” due to an ankle injury and Butt missed five straight practices recovering from a knee injury.
Stephens played at Florida 2014-18. He logged 15 catches for 261 yards and three touchdowns in 40 games played, including eight receptions for 106 yards and three touchdowns as a redshirt senior.
We’ve signed TE Moral Stephens.
