Breaking: Kadarius Toney
To Chiefs, source tells @theScore. #Chiefs trade their conditional 3rd round pick and 6th to #Giants.— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) October 27, 2022
Toney is in his second professional season. After 4 seasons at Florida, Toney was selected No. 20 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
As a rookie in 2021, Toney appeared in 10 games (4 starts) recording 39 catches for 420 yards. This season, Toney has appeared in just 2 games for the Giants.
Kansas City is on a bye in Week 8, which gives Toney some extra time to deal with a hamstring injury. We’ll see if Toney suits up for the Chiefs in Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.
Kadarius Toney is under contract through 2024 with a 2025 team option available.
His salary and cap hit for the next 3 years is:
2022: $784K
2023: $1.907M
2024: $2.531MAvailability has been a problem for Toney (12 games missed already), but a value if healthy and right.
