Paul Finebaum says Florida’s at the precipice with difficult schedule ahead
After a crushing loss to Kentucky, things are not looking good for Florida.
5 games into the season, Florida doesn’t have much to show besides the win against Tennessee, and things aren’t going to get easier moving forward. Not to mention, Florida played very sloppy against a Charlotte team that should have been a blowout win.
On Sunday, Paul Finebaum broke down Florida’s schedule and explained that things could end very badly for the Gators.
“If you play the schedule game for a second, they’re at 2 losses already,” Finebaum said on the Matt Barrie Show. “Back end of the schedule, Florida State, Georgia, just for starters, at LSU. If you’re doing the math, the games against Missouri and South Carolina, games that are not going to interest the country at all, are going to determine their season. I haven’t seen much from this team. They can’t be talking about Utah as much as they used to. They’re really at the precipice and they’ve got a fairly comfortable path into Georgia, but that’s going to be a defining game, the tone and tenor of it, because the season could end very badly for them.”
Florida has the chance to get things back on track against Vanderbilt, and they need a big win if they want to avoid what could be a very dark season.
