Baker Mayfield to Rose Bowl hero Rodrigo Blankenship: ‘I still don’t like you’
Baker Mayfield hasn’t forgotten about Rodrigo Blankenship’s crucial performance in the 2018 Rose Bowl.
Blankenship helped Georgia knock off Oklahoma in an overtime classic, which ultimately sent the Bulldogs to the National Championship Game. The loss also ended Baker Mayfield’s career at Oklahoma.
But this week, Blankenship and Mayfield are teammates with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On Tuesday morning, Mayfield shook hands with the former UGA kicker and said, “I still don’t like you” with a smirk.
Here’s video of the moment:

Blankenship made a pair of field goals against the Sooners in that game, including a 55-yarder just before halftime that gave UGA some momentum going into the break.
He also made a 38-yard field goal in overtime which helped extend the game. Georgia eventually won 54-48 in double overtime.
Blankenship is with the Bucs this week for a minicamp try out. Tampa Bay currently has just 1 other kicker on its roster: 26-year-old Chase McLaughlin.
Blankenship appeared in 3 games last season for the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals. However, he missed most of the season due to a leg injury.
