Chase Claypool has had a solid first few years in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He’s ready for the next generation to ball out. Claypool feels Steelers second round pick George Pickens is set to be the best rookie wide receiver in the NFL this upcoming season.

“I think he’s gonna be the best rookie receiver in the NFL,” Claypool said of Pickens, via Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Pickens totaled 90 receptions for 1,347 yards and 14 touchdowns across his 3 years at Georgia. He was out for the majority of last season with an ACL injury on his right knee.

Partly because of the knee injury, Pickens was the 9th receiver drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. Drake London was the first receiver taken off the board, picked No. 8 overall by the Atlanta Falcons.
