Dillon Bell suffered an ankle injury during the game against Tennessee, and he finished with only 2 catches for 12 yards. He came back onto the sideline after the injury, but he had his foot in a boot.
After the game, Kirby Smart wasn’t able to provide an update on how serious the injury was. However, the team has reportedly received good news with Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reporting there is a chance Bell will be able to play against Georgia Tech in 2 weeks.
A positive update on Georgia standout receiver Dillon Bell, who suffered an ankle injury vs. Tennessee:
The injury is believed to be minor and it seems to even be a possibility that he could be back for next week’s game vs. Georgia Tech, a source tells @CBSSports/@247Sports.… pic.twitter.com/U7JqjYcb9r

That does put him out of this week’s game against Massachusetts, but having him healthy for what the Bulldogs hope is a long postseason run is huge for the team.
Bell is currently 3rd on the team with 35 catches and 405 yards, but he leads the team with 4 touchdown catches. His biggest game of the 2024 season was against Alabama when he grabbed 5 passes for 100 yards and 1 touchdown.
The win against Tennessee was huge for Georgia, as a loss would have all but eliminated the team from making the College Football Playoff. Now, the team is in a great position where if it wins out, then Georgia should be in.
The Bulldogs will be in action against UMass on Saturday, and kickoff is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
