Former Georgia TE Orson Charles lands new NFL contract

Orson Charles is staying in Cleveland.

The former Bulldog landed a new contract on Wednesday from the Browns after competing in 13 games for Cleveland last season. The hybrid fullback/tight end started two games last season for the Browns and recorded three catches for 23 yards in his debut season in Cleveland.

Charles was a fourth-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft and has made 49 career appearances in the NFL following his collegiate playing career in Athens.

During his three-year career in Athens, Charles racked up 94 catches for 1,370 yards and 10 touchdowns.
