Georgia drawing concern across social media following first half vs. Kent State

Georgia is the No. 1 team in the nation for a bevy of reasons; however, Kent State made the Bulldogs look rather pedestrian in the first half.

Yes, Georgia leads 26-13, but the score doesn’t tell the whole story at this point. Similarly, Georgia had outscored opponents 130-10 ahead of Week 4. Kent State totaled 13 in the first half Saturday.

Entering Saturday, Georgia hadn’t given up a turnover in 3 games. Georgia gave up 3 turnovers in the first half verses the Golden Flashes.

Ladd McConkey is having a rough afternoon. The Georgia receiver muffed a punt that led to a field goal, and he also fumbled it while running after the catch. The fumble led to a Kent State touchdown. Quarterback Stetson Bennett also threw a rough interception in the first half — a ball that was under thrown as the Kent State defensive back made a nice play on it.

Sure, Georgia will wake up and likely go on to pound Kent State, but the first half is certainly Kirby Smart will look to improve upon.
