Georgia is set to lose Aliou Bah, one of its offensive line signings from the 2022 class, to the transfer portal, Bah told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday evening.
Bah, a Memphis native who signed with the Bulldogs from IMG Academy in Florida, was considered a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and the No. 30 offensive tackle in the country. He chose Georgia over Florida State, among other programs.
He ultimately saw light action with the Bulldogs during his time with the team. In 2022, he redshirted as a freshman and did not make an appearance. He made his collegiate debut in 2023 against UAB before playing in back-to-back games against Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Georgia has seen its share of players enter the portal upon its opening on Dec. 4. All told, 11 players have done so, including quarterback Brock Vandagriff, who landed at Kentucky. Another highly-regarded recruit from 2021, Xavian Sorey, a 5-star according to 247Sports’ composite rankings who had 19 tackles and 1.0 sacks in 2023, is also in the portal.
