Georgia starting forward reportedly enters transfer portal

Georgia’s men’s basketball roster will have an increasingly different look to it next season as the Bulldogs have seen their fourth player enter the transfer portal.
Rising junior forward Toumani Camara has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports, including Anthony Dasher of UGASports.com. A full-time starter this past season, he led Georgia with 7.7 rebounds per game 28 blocked shots, and he was the third-leading scorer with 12.8 points.
Camara joins Tye Fagan, Christian Brown and Michael Starks as Georgia players who entered the NCAA portal after a 14-12 season.
“We truly appreciate Toumani’s contributions to our program,” UGA coach Tom Crean said in a release, per Dawg Nation. “But we all must realize this is how college athletics is played now, and it’s here to stay. We will use the NCAA portal to our advantage and work diligently to recruit young people that want to take full advantage of the tremendous education we have to offer and the incredible opportunity to be a part of our program.”
A native of Brussels, Belgium, Camara arrived at Georgia via Charminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida.
Coming out of high school, he was a consensus 4-star recruit ranked among the nation’s top prospects as No. 95 by 247Sports.
