Georgia has another top quarterback coming its way as Gunner Stockton, ranked as the No. 5 player at his position in the class of 2022, is headed to Athens next fall. But he still has some work to do in his senior season at in-state Rabun County High School.

The Wildcats entered Friday night’s game against Grovetown with a 5-1 mark, and it was all Rabun County in this one as it rolled past the Warriors 45-14. But the night belonged to Stockton as he broke a Georgia high school football record once held by Deshaun Watson, accounting for 6 touchdowns on the night — 5 through the air and 1 on the ground.

That means that Stockton, a one-time South Carolina commit, has been responsible for 221 total touchdowns during his high school career, surpassing Watson’s mark of 218 set at Gainesville High School set between 2010-2014. The only question is how he’ll add to that count before he hangs up his cleats at the high school level once and for all.

And Dawgs fans will hope that it’s a preview of what’s to come once he steps onto the college gridiron.
