Patriots rookie OL Isaiah Wynn reportedly out for the season following preseason injury
This time last week news was released of Derrius Guice’s season-ending injury now it’s former Georgia standout offensive lineman and New England first-round pick Isaiah Wynn that’s had his rookie season in the NFL taken away.
Wynn was carted off the field Thursday night in the second preseason game of the season for the Patriots against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles. Unfortunately, the team’s worst fears have been confirmed and Wynn is expected to be lost for the season due to a torn Achilles injury.
Both ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport are reporting the injury to Wynn’s Achilles. Wynn was the No. 23 overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.
