No surprise here: Nick Chubb turning heads at NFL Combine, helps set RB bench press mark

The early buzz of the NFL Combine belonged to Saquon Barkley. The former Penn State running back put up an impressive 29 reps on the bench press and had Twitter buzzing over the potential rise in his stock.

In what will be no surprise to Georgia fans, Nick Chubb soon followed Barkley on the bench press and put up the same number.

Chubb was asked about his combine experience Thursday and revealed NFL clubs had a desire to take a closer look at his knee. Again, as Dawg Nation could tell you, there’s no issue there for the former star running back out of Athens. While he admitted he’s eager to showcase his speed and quickness to NFL scouts, Chubb will get the chance to do just that in the following days.
