The Georgia Bulldogs were on a bye this weekend, but Mark Richt’s squad was the beneficiary of a top-5 loss by Ole Miss late last night.
Because the Rebels fell to LSU, Georgia moved up one spot in the Amway Coaches Poll to No. 8 as Ole Miss fell six spots to No. 9.

In the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the Bulldogs stayed at No. 9, ahead of TCU at No. 10 and behind Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Michigan State who fill out spots No. 6 through No. 8.
Georgia is one of five SEC teams in the top-10 of both polls. The conference has six teams overall in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Polls.
