DeAndre Square has been a key piece of the Kentucky defense in recent years.
In 2021, he had 80 tackles, bringing his Kentucky career total to 244 tackles. Now, he’s reached a decision on next season.
Per 247Sports, Square revealed on BBN Tonight on Monday that he was forgoing the 2022 NFL Draft and returning to Kentucky for a super-senior season.
In the Wildcats’ 20-17 win over Iowa in the Citrus Bowl, Square was ruled out in the second half with an injury, but he returned to the game anyway and even snagged the game-winning interception.
His return is a big boost to the Wildcat defense heading into the 2022 campaign. We’ll see if he can have an even bigger year.
