Greg McElroy gives Kentucky a great chance to have another big season

Greg McElroy sees another big season for Mark Stoops and Kentucky, as the coach is coming off a 10-win season, the program’s second in 4 seasons.
Stoops is closing in on a major milestone with the Wildcats, as he’s one win away from Bear Bryant’s 60-win mark at UK. Stoops currently sits with a 59-53 record in 9 seasons in Lexington.
McElroy, the ESPN analyst and co-host on WJOX out of Birmingham, Alabama, points to the schedule as a reason why UK will have another big season. The only road games before Oct. 29 are at Florida and at Ole Miss.
“It’s the most manageable in all of the SEC,” McElroy said. “The likelihood of getting back to 10 I think is increasingly high, when I say 60 percent they get back to 10, that’s where’d I’d be. It hinges on Week 2, a road trip to Florida, but they bring back a lot of quality pieces. Just got to iron out a few different things, and Kentucky could very well find themselves back into a New Year’s Day bowl game, and who knows, maybe even the New Year’s Six.
“The likelihood of getting back to 10 is increasingly high.”
