John Calipari, Kentucky men’s basketball coach, remains committed to helping the storm victims of the western part of Kentucky.
Calipari has made plenty of effort on multiple levels to help the residents of the state, and now he’s announced a new contribution.
“I don’t want anybody to forget west Kentucky and what happened down there,” Calipari said, and recalled making previous tours after the national championship, and for book signings. “But West Liberty, it was hit hard, and I haven’t been able to get out into the community since 2019. But we’re going to make a trip, east, north and south, bounce around, do some things and collect things for west Kentucky. Figure out what they need and we’re going to be there for them. … This is who I am.”
Calipari also plans to bring along the rolled up program to honor the late Joe B. Hall, the legendary former UK coach.
