The Kentucky Wildcats don’t play this weekend after narrowly defeating Mizzou on Saturday night.
Entering the bye week, coach Mark Stoops got some good news for his defense, as star LB Jordan Jones is nearing a return to the field.
On Tuesday, Stoops said Jones practiced and is expected to play in the Wildcats’ next game on Oct. 21 at Mississippi State:

Jones has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury suffered earlier this season. The Wildcats could certainly use him back to help a defense that just gave up 34 points to a struggling Mizzou offense.
Jones recorded 109 tackles (15.5 for a loss) last year to lead the Wildcats, so getting him back will only help them agains the Bulldogs and against every foe remaining on their schedule.
In two games this year, he has 13 tackles, one forced fumble and half a sack.
