At least 2 players are no longer with the Kentucky football team. A third player is not listed on the roster, but his status is reportedly uncertain.

Dee Beckwith, Kevin Larkins and Austin Ramsey are absent from Kentucky’s 2023 football roster. Jon Hale of the Lexington Herald-Ledger reported Monday that a UK spokesperson confirmed that Beckwith and Larkins have left the team. Ramsey’s status for the upcoming season is currently described as “uncertain.”

A former 4-star ATH in the Class of 2020, signed with Tennessee over Florida, Auburn and others. The former Florence (Alabama) standout transferred to Kentucky after 2 seasons with the Volunteers.

As a Wildcat, Beckwith played in 3 games during the 2022 season. The 6-5, 236-pound Beckwith has 9 career carries and no receptions, but was listed as a wide receiver on the UK roster.

Larkins, a defensive back, committed to Kentucky as a transfer from D-II program Livingstone College. He had a standout freshman season, recording 40 tackles, 8 interceptions, 2 pass deflections and a forced fumble.

Ramsey is a Class of 2023 offensive tackle out of Philadelphia. A 3-star recruit, he chose UK over offers from Penn State, Illinois, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and others.

Monday’s news follows last week’s news that 2 Wildcats players medically retired.
