Kentucky will allow beer sales inside Kroger Field beginning with the 2023 season, according to a report from KSR’s Matt Jones.

The Wildcats began selling alcohol at baseball and softball games this season, announcing in February that it would be “a pilot program.” Offerings at baseball and softball games included Michelob Ultra, Bud Light, and seltzers.

Jones reported that a craft beer selection at football games may be in the cards but “hasn’t been decided” yet.

Jones added that it’s unclear if an official decision has been reached yet regarding beer sales at Rupp Arena.

Kentucky will begin the 2023 football season at home against Ball State on Sept. 2. The Cats have 7 home games on the 2023 slate — Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Akron, Florida, Missouri, Tennesee, and Alabama.
