Lonnie Johnson Jr. was a second-round pick of the Houston Texans in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The former Kentucky cornerback was a key player for the Texans’ defense the past 3 years, but now he’s on the move.

Per a tweet from the Kansas City Chiefs, a trade has been finalized sending Johnson from Houston to KC:

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted that the Texans were receiving a conditional 2024 seventh-round pick in return for Johnson:

Johnson has appeared in 44 games the past 3 seasons, making 172 total tackles. He has recorded 3 interceptions and 13 pass breakups during that time.
