Oscar Tshiebwe came up key for Kentucky in Wednesday’s 82-74 win over Florida. The win also keeps the Wildcats on track for a potential bid to the NCAA Tournament.
In the game against the Gators, Tshiebwe led all scorers with 25 points. He was brutally efficient from the field, shooting 12-for-13 to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and a block.
According to ESPN’s Stats and Info, Tshiebwe’s 92% shooting night is the best for a Kentucky player in a 25+ point outing over the past 25 seasons.

For those used to seeing Tshiebwe putting up double-doubles, the overall stat line was a bit surprising, but that is arguably due to the efficient shooting effort and lack of rebound chances on the offensive side of the floor.
With the win, Kentucky has rattled off 3 straight victories — including an upset of then-No. 10 Tennessee — to keep hopes of March Madness alive. The Wildcats still have games against Auburn, Vanderbilt and Arkansas before the SEC Tournament to try and boost their stock further.
