Kentucky’s 2018 recruiting class took a hit on Monday, as a 2018 defensive end has de-committed from the school.

According to reports, Ohio native Alex Reigelsperger has reopened his recruitment and is considering other schools.

The bad news for coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats broke on Monday afternoon on Twitter:

Reigelsperger’s Twitter account is set to private, but one person with access to the account said he tweeted the following message:

According to the 247Sports composite, Reigelsperger is the No. 24 weak-side defensive end in the class of 2018 and the No. 20 overall recruit from the state of Ohio.

The 6-3, 247-pound defender has also drawn interest from Minnesota, Arizona, Iowa, Louisville, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others.

The Wildcats are down to 17 commits in their 2018 class, which now ranks No. 7 in the SEC and No. 21 nationally, per 247Sports.
