Will Levis is expected to be getting another start.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported Monday that the Tennessee Titans plan to start Levis on Thursday as Ryan Tannehill continues to recover from a high ankle sprain.
#Titans quarterback Will Levis – coming off a four-touchdown debut – is expected to start Thursday night vs. the #Steelers, per source. Ryan Tannehill is still recovering from a high ankle sprain and likely needs more time. Barring surprise, Levis will get start No. 2. pic.twitter.com/Q7bdFk2jXL

Levis was sensational on Sunday. He became the first rookie QB to throw 4 touchdown passes in his debut since Marcus Mariota in 2015. Levis is also the first Titans quarterback to throw for 4 touchdowns since Tannehill in 2021. Among former Kentucky quarterbacks, Levis’ 4 touchdowns were the most since Tim Couch threw for 3 scores in a 2002 game.
With help from DeAndre Hopkins and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Levis tripled the Titans’ season total of passing touchdowns on the season from 2 to 6. Hopkins, who caught 3 TD passes, was impressed by Levis.
“He’s a very talented quarterback. Confident. He plays the game like he’s been here before,” Hopkins said after the game, according to the Tennessean’s Gentry Estes.
Levis’ big game helped the Titans snap a 2-game losing streak and get to 3-4 on the season. We’ll see how he handles the quick turnaround of playing a Thursday game.
