Adam Miller, the LSU guard who was in the transfer portal and who missed last season with an ACL injury, has settled on his future team.
Miller entered the transfer portal in late March, and after weighing an offer from TCU, Miller decided to return to LSU after all.
“I just have so much respect for people down here,” Miller told Jon Rothstein of College Hoops Today. “I went through a few workouts with the new staff and really felt comfortable. I looked hard at the TCU situation, but I wanted to keep LSU across my chest.”
This is a big addition for new coach Matt McMahon after LSU lost its entire roster of scholarship players to the transfer portal amid the coaching change.
Miller transferred from Illinois to LSU ahead of the 2021-22, but the knee injury forced him to miss the season.
At Illinois, started all 31 games for the Illini in 2020-21, ranking fifth on the team in scoring with an average of 8.3 points. Miller led all Big Ten freshmen with 52 3-pointers and was the conference’s No. 5 first-year player in scoring.
