Brian Kelly and LSU picked up a huge win Saturday, as the Tigers overcame a slow start to steamroll No. 7 Ole Miss, 45-20.

LSU is now 6-2 on the season and has looked good the last 2 weeks, both against the Rebels and a week earlier at Florida.

And the Tigers still have some big games on the schedule. After next week’s bye, they face Alabama at home before finishing the season with games against Arkansas, UAB, and Texas A&M.

Add it all up and it could still be quite a year for LSU, and Kelly made sure to remind his team of that after the win over the Rebels.

“October is for pretenders,” said Kelly before emphatically adding, “November is for contenders.”

While the clip above might seem like it was straight out of a movie, everything Kelly said was true.

And the Tigers will be an interesting team to watch in the weeks ahead.
