Brian Kelly had a special announcement for his players after practice. Former Tiger Justin Jefferson gave the team a new pair of Oakley shades as they prepare for a colossal matchup on Sunday against No. 8 Florida State.
On Saturday morning, LSU released a video on social media of Kelly reading a note from the former Tiger and star NFL wide receiver giving his wishes for the Tigers to take down the Seminoles and to give Oakley sunglasses to the players.
Kelly read a note from Jefferson to the players after practice:
“He had school records in receptions, yards and touchdowns. He’s the 2022 offensive player of the year. Wanted to make sure you guys are ready to take care of business and look good while doing it. So enjoy these new shades, let’s get this W Tiger Nation”

Jefferson played 3 seasons with the Tigers from 2017 to 2019. In the 2019 season, Jefferson caught 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. Jefferson was drafted with the 22nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
No. 5 LSU is set to kick off its season in Orlando against No. 8 Florida State on Sunday.
