Grant Delpit has reportedly reached a deal on a contract extension with the Cleveland Browns.
The former LSU safety has been one of the better defensive backs in the NFL since being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The 2019 national champion has totaled 245 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 16 pass deflections, 6 interceptions and 1.5 sacks through 44 appearances and 35 starts with the Browns.
And on Sunday, Cleveland decided to lock Delpit down in Cleveland for the next 3 years, granting him a $36 million extension with over $23 million in guaranteed money. As you can see below, Delpit was set to become an unrestricted free agent in March prior to this deal.
