Joe Burrow explains why he got so emotional thanking Ed Orgeron during Heisman Trophy ceremony

Joe Burrow finally lost his cool.
After an entire regular season of nearly flawless performances, LSU’s quarterback came undone with the spotlight on him Saturday night.
Burrow’s lack of composure did not take place on the field, thankfully for LSU fans, but came after winning the 2019 Heisman Trophy. If you missed it, LSU’s quarterback got very emotional when discussing Ed Orgeron and everything the Tiger coach means to him and his family.
After winning the award, the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner was asked why he got so emotional when discussing Orgeron.
“I meant exactly what I said, he’s meant so much to me and my family,” Burrow answered. “He gave me an opportunity when not a lot of people thought I was going to do anything. He trusted me with his program, gave me the keys and I’m forever grateful for him.”
