Joe Burrow receives status update ahead of MNF matchup vs. Los Angeles

Joe Burrow is expected to play Monday night for the Cincinnati Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams despite being less than 100%, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Burrow has been dealing with a calf injury since preseason when he had to be carted off the field after going down in camp. He was cleared for Week 1 against Browns but it became quickly apparent that Burrow was far from fully healthy.
Now, Cincinnati is 0-2 heading into a crucial Week 3 matchup against LA.

It’s hard to say it from the outside looking in, but many think Burrow and Cincinnati are taking the wrong route here. It’s a long season, but it’ll be an even longer season if Burrow aggravates his injury just as it’s nearing 100%.
On the other side of things, Cincinnati needs a win now or their season could spiral out of control regardless. The question is this: Will Burrow be ready to play to his true potential?
We’ll see soon enough.
