Louisiana governor weighs in on Devin White’s controversial targeting ejection on Twitter

When you’re playing a team like undefeated No. 1 Alabama, you have to be at full-strength, and the LSU Tigers won’t be during the first half of the Week 10 game.
That’s because star LB Devin White was ejected for a controversial targeting penalty during Saturday night’s game against Mississippi State, meaning he’ll miss the first two quarters of the Tigers’ biggest game of the year.
Everyone in Louisiana is mad about the call, even governor John Bel Edwards. As you can see below, Bel Edwards weighed in on the controversy via Twitter:

White is one of the best linebackers in the game, and will likely be a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, so losing him really hurts.
The Tigers still have plenty of other talented defenders, though, so they’ll have two weeks to prepare for their toughest test yet.
