A few LSU walk-ons received some good news on Tuesday evening, as they were informed that they had been placed on scholarship.

Coach Ed Orgeron got to break the news to the lucky players, and it was a great moment for the entire team.

According to a release from the school, WR Tiger Scheyd, FB Trey Gallman, P Zach Von Rosenberg and OL Turner Simmers were awarded scholarships on Tuesday:

“We are very proud of all of our walk-ons,” Orgeron said. “The work that they do every day is very important to our program. I wish I could give a scholarship to every walk on that is a part of our team. It is a very proud moment for our team when we get to reward their teammates for the hard work that they put in to play for the Tigers.”

Von Rosenberg is a sophomore, while the other three are all seniors.

LSU opens the season on Sunday night against Miami, with the game taking place in Dallas.
