Saturday was a good day for LSU football recruiting.

He received a commitment from highly-coveted WR Drake Davis during the Under Armour All-American high school football all-star game.

The addition of the four-star receiver from Florida to the 2016 recruiting class was enough to tip the scales in the 247 Sports recruiting class rankings, according to an article from Shea Dixon.

The Tigers snuck past Ohio State for the top spot in the updated recruiting rankings, boasting 12 four-star commitments and one five star in a class with 18 commitments to date.

LSU held that coveted spot for much of the season before losing three commitments in the days following the drama surrounding Les Miles’ job status at LSU. The fallout included the loss of QB recruit Feleipe Franks, who instead signed papers to enroll early at Florida.

Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn and Florida all make an appearance in the latest 247 Sports team recruiting rankings.
