LSU basketball earned an 86-80 overtime win over Steve Forbes and Wake Forest Sunday afternoon at the Charleston Classic.

The Tigers saw a monster game from Will Baker, who dropped 23 points and 8 rebounds to seal the win. Jordan Wright, who transferred from Vanderbilt, dropped 15 points with 9 rebounds and a pair of assists.

LSU basketball has had an iffy start to Year 2 of the Matt McMahon era in Baton Rouge, but this is easily the Tigers’ best thus far.

LSU is now 2-1 at the Charleston Classic, having lost to Dayton Day 1 before downing North Texas on Friday. The Tigers also lost to Nicholls State before their loss to Dayton.

Baker seems to be the answer to LSU’s early woes here. He’s performed well this entire season except for his 16-minute game against Nicholls.
