LSU is determined to hold onto The Boot.

Ahead of Saturday’s Battle for the Golden Boot against Arkansas, the Tigers dropped an intense hype video. The clip features plenty of highlights from a rivalry that LSU has dominated in recent years.

LSU leads the all-time series with Arkansas 43-23-2. The Tigers have won 6 of the last 7.

Last year in Fayetteville, Harold Perkins was LSU’s MVP in a 13-10 win. The linebacker, then a freshman, has 8 tackles, 4 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. Perkins made his biggest play of the game, a strip sack of Arkansas QB Cade Fortin, with 1:17 left.

Arkansas’ 1 win in the series since 2016 came in Baton Rouge. LSU’s 2021 struggles included a 16-13 home loss to Sam Pittman’s team. In a low-scoring, defensive battle, the Hogs emerged victorious 16-13 in overtime. Montaric Brown came up with a key interception of Garrett Nussmeier in the extra period.

Saturday’s showdown between No. 12 LSU and Arkansas is set for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff from Tiger Stadium. The game will air on ESPN.
