LSU has added a new commitment to its 2024 recruiting class. Aeron Burrell, a standout in-state kicker, has pledged to play for Brian Kelly’s squad.
Burrell, out of Parkway in Bossier City, Louisiana, took to Twitter to share the big news.
After careful consideration, I’ve decided to remain in the Boot!!! #GeauxTigers Tigers #committed @iRecruitDaBoot @LSUfootball @BobbyBarham_LSU @LSUCoachJancek @bryce_koon @247Sports @RecruitLouisian @ParkwayFootball @LesterErb @CoachBrianKelly pic.twitter.com/viFHsbjiWy

As is often the case with specialists, Burrell does not have a star rating on the 247Sports Composite. Kohl’s Kicking rates Burrell a 5-star prospect and the No. 2 kicker in the class:
Burrell most recently competed at the 2022 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2022. He charted the biggest kickoffs in the 2024 class. His score of 116.4 was outstanding. The ball explodes off his foot with great speed. Burrell has long limbs and a soccer background which should help him in the coming years. He is a very good field goal kicker that should continue to develop very quickly. The kicker from Louisiana scored an impressive score of 27 points at the Scholarship Camp to go along with his dominant kickoffs.
Kohl’s also shared highlights from Burrell’s 2022 camp performance:
With Burrell on board, LSU now has 12 pledges in its 2024 recruiting class, ranked No. 2 nationally on the Composite.
