The 2018 NFL Draft has come and gone, and what an event it was. The SEC again finished with the most overall draft picks, marking the 12th-straight year that’s been the case.

When all is said and done, there’s one player who must be drafted last, and this year, that honor went to the No. 256 overall pick. Last year, the last pick was former Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly, and this year’s final selection also had SEC ties.

With the annual “Mr. Irrelevant” pick, the Washington Redskins selected SMU WR Trey Quinn. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because he started his career with the LSU Tigers.

Quinn put up modest totals of 22 catches for 276 yards in his two years in Baton Rouge before transferring to SMU. After sitting out the 2016 season, Quinn showed his true potential, recording 114 catches for 1,236 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2017.

So, while he may get the “Mr. Irrelevant” distinction, he could indeed turn into a very productive player for the Washington Redskins.
