Patrick Peterson, former LSU CB, played with some extra motivation Sunday against Arizona
It doesn’t take much to fuel the fire of a professional athlete.
A great example would be former LSU standout Patrick Peterson, who was amped up Sunday.
Peterson plays cornerback for Minnesota, which was playing Arizona. The Cardinals are Patterson’s old team and after the game in a somewhat bizarre interview he made it clear that he wasn’t thrilled with how his time in Arizona ended.
“I’ve been told a lot of things about me with the other organization,” Peterson said. “Getting fan mail from the owner saying that I can’t tackle, I’m old, I lost it. So I wanted to show them that.”
You can see more of what Peterson had to say in the video below, which included calling out an Arizona fan by name:
This one was personal for Patrick Peterson.

Peterson, however, got the last laugh Sunday.
The Vikings won the game 34-26 and he had 4 tackles and 3 pass defenses, and Peterson did plenty of talking and taunting in the process.
